What isFounders Growth Club

At Founders Growth Club we empower founders to scale up smarter, by connecting them to a network of experienced founders with the practical guidance on the unknowns ahead.

We take pride in supporting the Danish scale-up scene, and helping shape & drive a prosperous future for Denmark and it’s companies.

Our growth advisors have travelled down the wrong roads, to learn the right lessons. With knowledge of what lies ahead, we empower founders with practical advice - gained from first-hand experience - to guide them past today’s challenges, towards global success.

Because, when time is precious, it’s those who spend it wisely, that scale effectively. We are your shortcut to scale faster, and a direct line to the future.

What you know

Who you know

We bridge the gap between what you know and who you know - turning knowledge into action through meaningful connections.

Our VISION

Shortcuts to scaleup.

The path to success is long and uncertain, around every corner awaits unknown challenges that could prove to be existential.

As founders balance how they spend their time and money; avoiding mistakes, dead ends and wasted effort is more than good practice, it’s vital to their future success.

We help founders succeed, with shortcuts to scale.

We provide

Maps for the road less travelled.

Scaleups navigate the unknown in the knowledge that only a lucky few have emerged successfully. We believe in empowering scaleup founders with knowledge and insight from those that have come before.

Their experience has showed them the challenges ahead, and they can offer practical guidance on how to navigate the future. Connecting founders with those who know the way.

Helping founders to

Copy, paste.Scale, succceed.

When your time is valuable and mistakes can be existential, it’s smart work, not hard work that gets you were you need to be. If our growth advisors are like a direct line into the future, our roundtables and workshops are like Google of the future, providing personalised, tangible advice with immediate business impact.

We understand the power of getting to answers quickly, which is why we encourage our members to learn from other people’s mistakes.

Who is The ForceBehind Founders Growth Club?

Our Network

Frequently Asked Questions

General: Is there a cost to join?

No. Membership is free for selected scaleups and advisors. The project is publicly funded.

General: What is Founders Growth Club?

FGC is a founder-to-founder network designed to help Danish scaleups grow internationally. Backed by Denmark’s Board of Business Development, we provide actionable advice, strategic connections, and tailored support from those who’ve done it before.

General: Where does it take place?

Mostly in Denmark, but also virtually and with touchpoints abroad through our international network.

General: Who’s behind FGC?

FGC is led by Canute by Thursday and Erhvervshus Hovedstaden, in partnership with FBV and top advisors and organisations like Crayon, Danske Bank Growth, EY, Microsoft Denmark & DI.

General: Why only scaleups?

Because this group is under-served. Most programmes focus on startups or traditional SMEs. We’re filling that gap.

Growth Advisors: Can I decline a mentoring request if I’m busy?

Absolutely. You’re never locked in. We check availability before each request.

Growth Advisors: Can I join if I live abroad?

Absolutely. Many of our advisors are based in global hubs – Berlin, London, New York. We meet virtually and in person.

Growth Advisors: Do I get paid?

Yes. We offer compensation for active contributions – DKK 1,250/hour.

Growth Advisors: How are mentors matched with scaleups?

We curate matches based on sector, stage, and challenge. No generic pairings - it has to create real value.

Growth Advisors: What’s expected of me?

Flexible involvement – from zero to 10 hours/month. That could mean mentoring, joining a roundtable, or simply sharing your network.

Growth Advisors: Who qualifies as a Growth Advisor?

You’ve built, scaled, and (probably) exited. You’ve raised funds, grown internationally, and want to pass it on. We look for founders, co-founders or execs with real-world scaleup experience. Read about the requirements under ‘The Club’.

Scaleup Founders: How do I apply?

Apply under ‘Join The Club’ – we follow up with a call to ensure there’s a fit.

Scaleup Founders: How much time does it take?

You decide. Expect one key activity a month. The more you put in, the more you get out of it.

Scaleup Founders: What do I get as a member?

Members are given the option to participate in the following:

- 1:1 mentoring with seasoned founders

- Roundtables on real challenges (think market entry, hiring, or exits)

- Off-site events: 1–2 days in Denmark, focused on topics like fundraising, international growth, or exit strategies

- Academies focused on M&A, IPO, international expansion

- Access to 100+ hours of tailored consultancy (co-financed by the scaleups themselves)

Scaleup Founders: What if we don’t meet all the criteria yet?

We look at potential too. If you're close to the thresholds and scaling fast – don't hesitate to apply. We want the right mindset, not just the numbers.

Scaleup Founders: What industries do you work with?

We focus on tech and innovation-driven companies, but any scalable business with international ambitions is welcome.

Scaleup Founders: What makes this different from other programmes?

It’s built by founders, for founders. No lectures, just shortcuts. You’ll work with people who’ve scaled companies like yours – not consultants.

Scaleup Founders: Who can join?

We work with ambitious Danish scaleups that meet (or are close to) these criteria:

- 10+ employees

- DKK 10M+ in annual revenue

- DKK 10M+ in raised capital

- Clear international growth ambitions

Read more about the requirements under 'The Club'.
